“Breakfast smoothies that I made for Jeff and me!!! Filled with fresh fruit and Pines’ Green Duo! Great way to start the day!!”

Organic Farming Family Ensures Green Food Nutrition

Emily and her husband Jeff have two children. They grow most of their own food, including vegetables. Even so, they recognize that the Centers for Disease Control found only 10% of the U.S. Population eat enough vegetables, especially nutrient-dense, dark green, leafy ones. The CDC found that those who do eat plenty of dark green leafy vegetables have significantly lower incidence of the diet-related degenerative disease that is reaching epidemic proportions. That’s why Emily and Jeff make sure their family eats plenty of leafy greens. They add Pines’ green superfood powders to recipes. They also increase their leafy greens by using convenient tablets and capsules. Whether tablets, capsules or powder, Pines products offer ways to ensure their diets contain plenty of dark green, leafy vegetables.

Organic Farming as a Way of Life

Emily teaches 5th Grade, and Jeff is Pines’ farm manager. Jeff has worked for Pines International for 12 years and coordinates the farming activity and wildlife management activity on more than 2,000 acres for the company. He also works with other members of the Pines farming team as well as other organic farm families and individuals who are part of the Pines community.

From Seed to Shelf

Pines International is one of the few companies in the natural food marketplace that grows, harvests and packages its own certified organic products with its central facilities as close as 100 feet to the nearest field.  Jeff and other members of the farm crew work the fields and plant crops of wheat grass, barley grass, oat grass and alfalfa. They then harvest them at the peak of nutrition. They rotate those crops with certified organic soybeans that are used by other companies to make tofu and other certified organic soy products.

The Original Green Superfood

Pines Wheat Grass was the original green superfood. Established in 1976, our products provide exactly what is missing in most diets.  Although we carry juice powders, we encourage the use of our whole food powders. They not only contain all the elements of juice, but also contain the essential vegetable fiber that provides the prebiotic qualities to promote good colon health.  All Pines products are packaged in amber glass bottles with special metal caps that allow the company to remove the oxygen from each bottle.  This prevents the loss of color and nutrition that occurs with plastic tubs and packets.  The special metal caps allow the consumer to tightly seal the green superfood between uses.  Besides USDA Certified Organic, all products are Non-GMO Project Verified, vegan, gluten free, Kosher and raw.

Pines’ Green Superfoods are Organic and Non GMO

All Pines’ products are Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten free and Kosher. They are available at leading natural food stores or direct through our shopping cart.
