Most People Don't Eat Enough Dark Green Veggies at Thanksgiving or Other Times
As a result of research by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), only one person in ten eats enough veggies for the protective health benefits they provide. Those who eat three or more servings of dark green veggies each day have less diet-related disease. Rather than following the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.), we need more greens everyday, including Thanksgiving. The USDA in this MY PLATE graphic show veggies as our number one food.
Since 1939, the AMA has defined Pines' wheatgrass and alfalfa as nutrient-dense dark green leafy veggies. A teaspoon of any of Pines' powders or a few capsules or tablets are equal to a serving. We grow Pines' green super foods as nature intended. We harvest them at precise once-a-year time in the early spring when research shows the highest food value.
Pines Wheat Grass: The First Green Superfood in 1976
Pines brought wheatgrass to the natural food market in 1976. We follow quality standards established by Dr. Charles Schnabel in 1937. Several authors called Schnabel "the father of wheatgrass." He devoted his life to the scientific study of wheatgrass We follow his example. We still use many of his fields as well as one of his labs.
In addition to following Dr. Schnabel's growing and harvest standards, Pines follows his package standards. We remove the oxygen using amber glass bottles with special metal caps. An oxygen-free atmosphere protects green food nutrients. Without oxygen, a green food loses value through oxidation. After opening, you can seal the container between uses because of the tight-fitting metal cap. That results in the freshest green superfood possible. Brands packed in plastic tubs do not have that protection. They rather quickly lose food value from while sitting in a warehouse and on a store's shelf.
The plaque shown in the bottom picture is outside the door to Schanbel's lab. Above it, one of our lab workers prepares tests on a batch of Pines Wheat Grass.
Pines has Many Options to Increase the Greens in Your Diet
Please also try Pines Wheat Grass tablets or Green Duo Capsules. Both are easy to use and cost less than other greens. You will also love Mighty Greens, a delicious blend you can add directly to water or juice. Add any Pines' super food powder to your recipes. With Pines, you can make sure you and your family receive at least three servings of dark green veggies each day.
